The aesthetic perspective of the 80s leads to the re-embracement and re-adoption of certain trends not only in fashion industry but also in haute horlogerie. And as for Cartier, instead of a trend, this approach results in the refinement of a model, which reflects that era in the best manner, according to the codes of 2020. The new Pasha de Cartier collection is introduced during Watches & Wonders, and one of the most important details that render this collection special is its being unisex. Those who are familiar with the manufacture’s bond with geometric forms are also familiar with the square that surrounds the center of the dial despite the round case of the model. This feature and all the other details that have carried the model to the level of cults are preserved in the new collection.
Offering steel, yellow gold and rose gold versions in addition to the version completely designed with diamonds, the new Pasha de Cartier collection has quite a large material scale. While the 2020 edition of the model provides the user with the opportunity of customization owing to Cartier’s practical interchangeable strap strategy, i.e. SmartLink and QuickSwitch, the watch is further sophisticated with the chain crown, which is identified with the model, and the options of blue spinel or sapphire. Additionally, in the new design, when the chain crown is pulled up, a brand new and secret area is created for customization. Offered with 35 and 41 mm case diameters, Pasha de Cartier is powered by the automatic 1847 MC caliber and the mechanism can be admired through the sapphire case back. It should also be emphasized that the model is water resistant up to approximately 100 meters.
